Wynwood is a historic neighborhood in north of Downtown Miami and Overtown. It’s formed by the Wynwood Art District in northern Wynwood, and the Wynwood Fashion District along West 5th Avenue. This neighborhood also was called “the little San Juan” and referenced as “el barrio” by many Puerto Ricans immigrants that had come in the 1950s.

The Wynwood Fashion District is another sub-district of Wynwood in Miami. Located to the West 2nd Avenue. Its primary artery is along Northwest Fifth Avenue, where a lot of the major clothing retailers and distributors are located.
In the same way, the economy of Wynwood is variety for have the old abandoned Wynwood Free Trade Zone that was transformed a production studio for films and television shows. And obviously it’s home to a large number of art galleries, artist studios, and clothing wholesalers, the art and fashion industries are the main economic engines of Wynwood.
